Professor David Boud recognised as a leader in his field

Deakin Distinguished Professor David Boud, Foundation Director of CRADLE, has been recognised in Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researcher list for 2024. This is the third time Professor Boud has been included in the Clarivate list, reflecting the significant global impact of his work.

Professor Boud is Australia’s most internationally renowned educational researcher in higher education. He is a global leader in the fields of higher education, workplace learning and assessment and feedback. His work is used by researchers and scholars committed to the development of teaching and learning and he has changed the foundations of assessment practice through pioneering research and development.

Professor Boud was selected because he has authored multiple highly-cited social sciences papers that rank globally in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science. Citation activity is not the sole selection indicator for the Clarivate list. This list is refined using qualitative analysis and expert judgement based on evidence of community-wide recognition from an international and wide-ranging network of citing authors.
